FiBERFLY is a unique telecom inner ribbed duct design that ensures blowing at an extra distance. The optimized
geometry produces a ‘suction effect’ that multiples the pulling force and optical fiber cable floats in the HDPE
duct with enhanced velocity.

  • Elliptical interior ribs geometry reduces surface contact with the optical fiber cable during installation. blowing performance
  • Enhances aerodynamics during blowing and provides an extra movement. This creates a jet engine-like forward propulsion within the duct.
  • The stress on optical fiber is contained coupled with a longer life span and low cable losses.
  • Long distance blowing means less coupling and lower less network deployment time, leading to a low network build-up cost.
  • Longer cable length drums, means less splicing and optimized optical link budgets. A net saving on capital expenditure is incurred on additional joint enclosures, jointing pits and other accessories.
  • The operational expenditure gets reduced as less maintenance is required over long haul duct routes.
  • Inner lubricant ‘Silk layer’ co-extruded with the HDPE reduces the co-efficient of friction and enhances blowing performance.
  • Tested against stringent elongation break requirements, which eliminates issues during horizontal directional drilling.
